Control Problem

When i press any button it activates the second character no matter what i do. even after dropping out it just re activates them with any button.

any fixes?

I am looking for an answer to this as well - I cant progress because of this :(

im not entirely sure how i figured it out but what i did was.

i downloaded dualsenseX and used it with my ps5 controller and still had the issue but after i turned of dualsenseX and just let steam use Bigscreen Gamepad Settings. It started working again.

the other thing as well was to restart the PC and launch the game through steam big picture and things like that so it knows the controller you are using is Player 1 only and not both.

those are the only 2 things i can think of that might have worked for me.

keep playing with different Controller simulators and steam big picture.

Thank you so much I will give it a bash after work! I am using a logitech controller so no dualsense, but I will try big picture mode, it makes sense.

I used big picture and controller wasnt working (am using ps4). Then i went into the game settings in big picture (not controller settings in game, in steam big picture mode when you are in the library) and turned forced on.
That did the trick for me

It seems that this problem has just become a thing, as I just purchased Lego marvel superheros 2 and am having the same problem (using an 2nd generation xbox controller)
so naturally I was miffed and went to try another Lego game and I have the same problem on a game that I already have completed 100% without any issue. I have been searching however I think that there is no official fix yet.

after i got the controller to work on PC the first time its worked every time since and i dont even need to run a programme anymore to get it to work.

weirdly i got a new laptop for gaming and plugged my ps5 controller into it and it worked straight away no questions.

I've had better luck in other lego games by using the controller wired, but I think my controller hasn't realized it's connected to my computer via bluetooth so it won't work unless it's wired. Which is not a controller problem, it's a me problem.
