Tom Bombadil won't leave his house

I have won the jumping race with different characters on day and night, but Tom won't come out of his house. is there a trick to it? Do I need to do it with a special character?

you need to play alone and you need to have max 60hz and its work :D

Can confirm what "lol xd es" said above, you need to be in singleplayer. It does not work in two-player mode.
