Riddle "sink three stones and three will rise" ?

Hi! I am stuck on this riddle in a mine, just got past the flashback where you fight the pale orc and went into a mine and saw the riddle, I tried mining the blocks nearby but nothing worked

Using Dwalin and his hammer you need to hit the blocks around until they slide into a grey hole. You need to this 3 times (one for each block). Once you have done all 3. the adjacent blocks will rise creating low enough heights for you to jump up to the mithril block.
