It would make sense considering this is a Good Old Game, so I’m holding off on purchasing until it’s released there. In the meantime, I still have my PS1 copy to play, though I do not have Tomba! 2, so hopefully they re-release that one as well in the future.

As opposed to Steam or any other store releases that are, oh yeah, that’s right, immediately cracked and released by piracy groups. Just a quick search reveals Tomba on many different sites where pirates could easily get it if that were the case. I just like to purchase and own my games without DRM and having to use a launcher or contributing to the Steam monopoly, which is why I have over 2000 games bought and paid for on GOG.

but you can do that anyway right now and it's not on gog, gog just lets them get the game files and have them locally forever. No logins required. People losing access to potentially hundreds of titles in the future might a problem you can mitigate by still getting games through methods like gog.
