It is a crowdfunded DLC that will be free once it's complete. Visit the sticky thread on the forums for more details: https://steamcommunity.com/app/285110/discussions/0/3271311587255351939/
That depends. FBS subscribers get periodic updates on AM's progress. Since the FBS community funded the latest FBS milestone, I had to spend the last 6 weeks working on GearCity: 2nd Gear features. (Which is why we have a v2.0.0.11 update.) So, there hasn't been any progress since then.
If you're asking as a non-FBS subscriber, we have made progress made since the sneak peek screenshots I showed in the GearCity v2.0.0.8 update. AeroMogul's development is periodically slowed by GC: 2nd Gear, and because my main artist is AWOL often these days thanks to the war in Ukraine. (I am doing more work on 2nd Gear than I originally intended.) I hoped to already have a teaser trailer out, but the issues with artwork have put that on hold. FBS subscribers will have an extremely early alpha build soon, but the finished game will probably not be ready until around 2027-2028, and I could delay it further if 2nd Gear gets more funding and/or there are still issues with the artwork pipeline.
On a side note: I was wondering if it is possible to build "platforms" in this game, like car companies do in real world. As in, for an example, using the same chassis frame, but different suspension setup. Or variants of the same engine, where in one car engine puts out x HP and in the other y.
Again. Thank you so much for being an active developer :)
Sorry for the late reply.
In regular GearCity, no. But there is a bounty for component trims in the Feature Bounty System: https://www.ventdev.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=3881 That's similar to what you're asking for.
Thank you for the clarification!
