Factory Build and Upgrade Costs

I noticed a couple times that I think I may be getting overcharged for factories in two different ways.

1) I started a game without an initial factory. I built a new factory and it said the cost would be $551k and it would take 28 months to build. Under the monthly expeditures it showed over $19k in construction expenses, that equals the $551k over 28 months. No worries there, but I was also being charged over $9k per month under factory costs. I didn't have any other factories. Is this working right? It basically made the factory come out close to $800k over the 28 month build time instead of the $551k it quoted. Seems like I'm being charged for the upkeep before the factory is built.

2) I upgraded a factory in March for roughly $600k and it said it would be done in May. The next two turns (April and May) roughly $300k gets charged for construction and I'm then able to use the new line. But the following month (June) I'm charged an additional $300k. It seemed like I was charged an extra turn for the upgrade.

Let me know if I'm just missing something here and if this is working correctly. thx

Are you playing 1.19 or 1.19.2?

I took a look at this and it seems to just be a bug in the sales book display. You'll notice that the "Factory Costs" is higher than the "Total Factory Costs."

You are only charged for the amount at "Total Factory Costs." So you shouldn't be losing the correct amount of money.

I'll put the fix on my todo list for 1.19.3

This is why I asked which version you're playing. I believe I fixed this in v1.19.1, and just checked it to see that it is working fine.
