Runtime error 339 and MSHFLXGD.ocx missing
Hello, I have recently installed the game but I can't start it because of the ocx file missing. Downloading and installing the files from the solution topic doesn't work, any help? I would be very grateful

Hi Sopel,

Im not sure why you're getting that error -- the files are all installed in the installer. You can email me at support@myrtilusentertainment.com if you're not able to get it working. Sometimes tight restrictions on PC security stop some files (especially DLL and OCX files) from being installed in the System directory. You might be able to temporarily disable antivirus software and manually install/register the files so they work but I can step you through that in an email if you like.

BTW I like your avatar, that's the old Green Day warning logo right? :)

Cheers, Damien.

I tried downloading the singular OCX file but didn't really now where to put it to make it work
Lately, my computer was attacked by trojan virus and I got rid of it by using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, could it be possible that it affected that OCX file? Anyway, I'll write an email because I wanted to expand the Real World mod with another thousand(s) of actors, but sadly I can only boot up the editor

And yes, this is an old Green Day logo from "Warning" era of their music :)

Also, thank you for responding, it's great to see devs being active and helpful even with minor players problems, I am eagerly waiting for Showtime! 2 :)

OK, I resolved my problem, posting the solution for anybody who may come with this problem (or any problem caused by missing .ocx file)

I recovered the missing ocx file in command prompt by writing "regsvr32 C:\Windows\SysWOW64\MSHFLXGD.OCX"

Note that this is a solution for 64bit Windows, for 32bit Windows the commands would be

regsvr32 /u C:\windows\system32\MSHFLXGD.ocx
regsvr32 C:\windows\system32\MSHFLXGD.ocx

type the following one at the time
change the .ocx file name to the file you are missing

I hope it may help somebody, someday ;)
