Kanon is like 25 years old, I'm not sure what were you expecting it to look like. It's early Hinoue Itaru's work.

Actually yes. As far as described it´s not about completely redrawing the graphics. It´s about making the original work look as good as possible.

And it does. I have a 640x480 fantranslated version here... And the upcoming Kanon never looked better. I already have it on my wishlist.
