No internet access, no start.
This is just a heads-up to other "traditional" (DRM or DRM-like, might as well be DRM haters) players that this demo (and obviously full game, no doubt) does not start/play at all, if it does not get internet access. Yes, it has online PvP listed, so that alone, typically, informs me to this potential "situation" -- but it also has "Single-player" proudly listed on the store page, and many other games in the exact same "design" situation, do have/allow for some basic "offline/crippled" play anyway.

Saw the demo arrive, looks "cute/interesting", installed and tested (attempted to) "my" (offline) way, and got a "no-go". The End.

No good, not for me. That means, for all intent and purposes it is a "time bomb" and will one day stop working. It means, in effect, it is DRM-ed and under your control. As they say; "Thanks for your time, I'm out." -- Good day. :steamsad:
A shame.

I was going to buy this game, since I've been looking for a offline playable Gacha game, but no. If the game can't be played offline, then why ask for money? It makes no sense.

But anyways, I'm out.
