Atlantis

[Vivisector 9999]

This game seems almost like a spiritual successor to Atlantis, an old Imagic game from the Atari 2600 / Intellivision era. That one, too, had you using turrets to destroy descending invaders before they could obliterate your shielded ground cities. (Of course, Utopia Must Fall has more upgrades and more sophisticated enemies, and feels a bit like Missile Command, too.)

This comparison is actually a compliment, as Atlantis was one of the classic games of that era.

didn't know about Atlantis on 2600, but i had a similar reflexion when opening UMF, and my first thought was the Vectrex system and the minestorm game. the wire graphics lead me there i think....
Would be curious to know what was the inspiration for this game...
