Colossal Dwarfare Difficulty
They really need to make the Colossal Dwarfare DLC more difficult, Using Bonheart and Kosmyr with the Elven Stargazer, Cannoneer squad towers can pretty much beat evey level of the dlc first go on impossible

You could use different heroes, you know. Boneheart does a lot of heavy lifting dealing with large masses of enemies.

For me the campaign was quite a challenge to clear using Kratoa and Therien but when i used Boneheart it became a walk in the park.
They can´t balance the whole game around people using the dragons becourse they are (probably on purpose) OP in contrast do all non-dragon heros.
There are people that like using other heros and there are people that play mobile and don´t buy the dlc´s so everything needs to be doable with the starting heroes and towers.

So they made Bonheart slightly overpowered...Will try again with a different team then
I discussed the overpowered pay-to-win heroes in my post for a potential KR6. Dragon heroes (or just flying heroes in general) have always been the most expensive heroes in the mobile versions of the KR games since KRF. And for a good reason. They are there to cheat the system so those players who aren't strategically gifted can spend some money and steamroll everything. On the mobile market every problem can be solved by handing over some money. And while you do get all heroes in a neat well priced package here on Steam, the power advantage of the dragon heroes is still very obvious - they're a luxury. I would love to see the KR series return to form in KR6 with more focus on towers again and no pay-to-win heroes. But Agreus rightfully pointed out that was unrealistic. These dragon heroes sell. That's all they are there for. But can't dragons just look cool without being busted?
So yeah, as Pielord hinted at, you would have to ignore the dragon heroes if you want to play any KR game with proper challenge. I have even thought about playing through the series again with a self-imposed challenge of only using heroes which are free on mobile and beat all stages and challenges on the highest difficulty with them. I want to see how fun the "free" experience is xD

Making the series hero-focused instead of tower-focused was a huge mistake. There's very little in the way of tactics (regarding tower choice/placement, anyways) now, instead it's all about hero placement/movement and how fast you can spam powers. I think the devs forgot that this was a tower defense series and wanted to turn it into baby's first RTS.

Yeah, totally agree. I'm hopeful that the concept of having two heroes at once is just the unique feature of KRA (because of the alliance) and that the next game in the series will return to the default one hero. Fingers crossed! There's just too much micromanagement and spell spamming in KRA. At least in the previous games you would only use spells when it mattered, like a tactician. In KRA you just spam the spells because they now give very useful unique effects depending on the faction. It's just tiresome, mindless, and has nothing to do with strategy. "Baby's first RTS" indeed. Remember when you had to study the waves thoroughly and build accordingly? Had to figure it out like a good puzzle? Got your ass handed to you several times until that rewarding YES when you finally beat it? Those were the days, man.
I know Ironhide love their overpowered heroes and themed linear towers (because they can be sold), and I can live with those in the next KR game if only they could make it about the towers again, with balancing similar to KR1 and KRF. Even better, what if the next KR game could have BOTH linear towers and rare towers with two specializations?! Kingdom Rush Unity xD
