give them time to add more content to it
this statement of yours is contradictory
Yep. Also don’t think this game is worth it at $18. Even more so at $20 dollars.
The complete game customers used to get(before kingdom rush vengeance) was way better bang for your buck.
Now ironhide is charging loyal customers for what use to be free dlc? They trying to be greedy.
Plus this brand new entry ain’t even 100% complete. I’m a 100% shield kr games. gotta draw the line somewhere.
Dude they moved all the game from the Apple Store. To the arcade+ paid-wall side.
Frontiers, origins, the original kingdom Rush, vengeance. Now… new fans of the game can’t even own kr outright anymore.
This is getting ridiculous
Sure sure the first content dlc for alliance, Will be “ guaranteed “ free. Still means this company is going in the wrong direction for monetization of their newer titles.
Yes, more content like more levels and heroes, wich is a good thing. But will they improve the poor mechanics like tower upgrades and the short skill tree? Im not sure... :/
To be fair, they announced a free campaign dlc for oktober, so there will be some more content at least. But that doesnt touch the main problem i have with the felt downgrade of the game version itself
Alri.
Talking about if the game in its current state is worth it for the asking price makes sense, but acting like KRA is taking a step back or doing less than its predecessors launch-wise is innacurate.
It is taking a step back. Vengeance, junk world, legends. all did less than the previous title.
2 maps initially, for legends of KingdomRush, only gone up to five at the end of its run.
Junk world is like always in a beta period also not available on steam for the foreseeable future
Vengeance, and what I’ve heard alliance, as well junk world have slow pasted waves of enemies that aren’t in formations. More like a lazy river of single lined squishy that are easy to kill.
Then there’s the un-skippable in vengeance that you have to watch to the end every time even after you reset the level. A problem solved in the very first iteration of this franchise.
Plus all the games on iOS you could buy for $4.99. Base model of the game(includes free updates with new content). Is no longer purchasable. It’s not an iOS. You can only download it and play it if you have a subscription. Like what. Subscription service for an app game. Bru.
I bought Vengeance Frontiers origins the originals, then all their HD counterparts.
Now next to them, same titles but with a plus at the end, like what the ♥♥♥♥.
Company is taking a massive step backwards. Starting to look like popcap’s downfall all over again
How is any of this relevant to what I said exactly? [/quote]
Which post?
Plus ya replied way too fast.
Taking about how the big picture, is affecting the future(alliance). Going about lvls & game progression in a bad way. previous titles had these lvls and maps completely free.
How none of the ways from before, are viable purchasing options anymore.
Legends was behind arcade plus, a whole year til its release on steam. Which would have been $84 for the whole year/monthly access to the game. Customers can’t outright own these individual titles anymore. Can’t buy frontiers for $5.99(least on apple devices)
Would like to support ironhide, as their game loop and tower defense mechanics are fun. Alliance, junk world, vengeance. Are so far… disappointing. Only thing going for alliance, is the hype of release.
No real improvements. Only taking more money from customers without adding interesting ways to fight back. Against the waves of enemies. Nerfing enemy waves. Attacking into single-file groups, much too easy to pick off. making a majority of the levels a cakewalk. Crazy powerful pay to win heros.
Them 3 games are… look pretty fluff. Little to do after all campaign lvls are beat.
Small steps in the wrong direction makes me unwilling to support alliance now. Unless it’s on a severe discount. Doubly So for vengeance DLC.
All to say the incentive to purchase this game. Be going down the drain.
People are also quick to forget devs released expensive (cost per map vs base game) DLC for KR4 but that was because they need extra money to deliver quality...quality which now you see in KR5 with low quality sounds, re-skinned almost everything...sure sure.
They somehow needed to pay, not one, but TWO writers to write a STORY for this tiny little tower defence...
I think people just choose to ignore the fact that majority of the towers, heroes, maps are just reskins, now to a point its understandable but normally you expect developer to put enough novelty to hide the re-use...not here though, they even cut out encyclopedia then tried to tell people the in game tooltip is the encyclopedia...disrespect towards fans is sad to watch.
They changed something in the code to disable the ability to use cheat engine to speed up the game but when fans have been asking for years to get the button to speed up the game? No. Nuff said.
