Artifex Mundi: Loss of "One of a Kind" Achievement
To the publishers: I'm really upset. If the One of a Kind Achievement ("Unlocked all the other Achievements") must be done in one game profile, then you NEED to change the description of the Achievement to "Unlocked all the other Achievements IN ONE GAME PROFILE."

I finished all but the timed HOG/mini-game and the Pair-matching Achievements in my first run. I created a second game profile and finished the timed HOG/mini-game Achievements in that. To avoid having to finish the game under that profile (since you don't allow re-starting a game), I created another game profile and finished all the Pair-matching Achievements. Now, I'm sitting here looking at Steam telling me I have 35 out of 36 Achievements. The only one I don't have is the One of a Kind Achievement ("Unlocked all the other Achievements"). I am upset.

I'm assuming that even though your in-game Achievements match the Steam Achievements names, you've tied that One of a Kind Achievement to a single game profile because, in the casual gaming world where this game started, multiple people might play the same physical copy of the game. The trouble is, this game is now running under Steam. That usually means one Steam account = one game (even under Family Sharing mode, Achievements are still linked to the person playing). So, when you say "unlocked all the other Achievements," that means "unlocked all the other STEAM Achievements."

It's bad enough you don't have any kind of save system (except the inaccesible current game state). It's worse that you force a second playing of the game solely to have us play alternate versions of the HOGs. It's terrible that we can't stop a current game and start from the beginning if we just need to finish one or two Achievements. And, it's inexcusable to mis-word an Achievement and have people waste five hours of their time to get all the Achievements only to find that they get no credit for getting all the Achievements.

At a bare minimum, re-word that Achievement before others waste their time.

from what I understand you did three runs anyways, so why complain about two?

I agree completely. I just discovered this myself and I'm quite frustrated. I finished the game doing the hidden object scenes, then started over to get the pair-matching. I mistakenly did a hidden object scene, just out of force of habit, then realized I meant to do the pair-matching. My choices were 1: play the ENTIRE game through again because it's not possible to start over once you've started (really quite a stupid system by the way), or 2: start a new profile and do the pair-matching on that one. I did so, and am now in the same boat as the original poster. I can't get 100% on this game now without playing through the entire thing again. Extremely frustrating. It is standard practice on Steam that such an achievement refers to getting all STEAM achievements, not in-game achievements tied to a single profile. I agree that if you want it this way, you need to re-word the achievement description to make that clear.

You also need to add a way to reset your game. Not giving us that option (or a basic save and reload feature) is just shoddy.

Edit: I just got the last achievement after completing my missing achievement (3 objects within 3 seconds) in my first profile. I only had to play it up to the first HOG where you can switch to the first matching pairs game to have the chance to earn it and the last achievement was awarded right away. This won't help you guys but I am kinda happy that it worked out for me after I gave it some thought and decided to try it one last time (I was pretty disappointed when I posted the stuff below.). Still, I won't change what I wrote below and just leave everything as it is now.

This is kinda frustrating as I have the exact same problem. In my case I would have to play it at least one more time just after finishing it twice. I didn't get the "3 objects within 3 seconds" achievement on my first run with the HOGs, so I made a new profile just for that achievement and continued to play the matching pairs games in my first profile.
It would have been really great to get the last achievement once you got all other achievements and this one not being tied to a profile. I won't be playing the game a third time, instead I will just delete it from my library after finishing the bonus chapter. I feel a bit disappointed and annoyed though as that kinda leaves a bad aftertaste when you played for quite a few hours and you just won't get the last achievement.

Guys, I only have one question here.

How can you achieve these two: 1) eagle-eyed (finish any hidden object puzzle in less than 1 minute) &
2) master examiner (finish all pair-matching game)
within one profile?
Because from what I know, every hidden object must end with pair-matching game only can achieve master examiner trophy?
Then how I achieve eagle-eyed trophy?

You have to play through the whole game twice. Once playing exclusively the HOG parts and not missing any HOG-related achievements, then once playing exclusively the pairs mini-games... Funny thing is, if you have the gall to miss Eagle-Eyed, then you're pretty much forced to play through the game THRICE as you can't reset a profile's progress... How fun is that?
This game is bs!! How would anyone know it's out of 1 playthrough!!! You didn't state that crap. No one is going to know how to solve everything in one playthrough! I got all the rest of my achievements in the second run! They don't give you a option to reset anything so now your stuck with 35/36 for there stupid mistake! I wouldn't wait time and effort on this game and get a damn refund! :steamfacepalm:
