What do you expect from the game?
Hello Designers!
We're happy to see you here! Interior Designer is a game and a tool - 2in1! You can play in Sandbox mode, Career mode, or a Design League, where you will compete with other players in different categories :)

What excites you the most? What are you hoping to get from the game?

It's not my type of game, but geez - Interior Designer has a really nice graphic style. It's unique, aesthetic, it's pleasant to look at. Maybe I'll give a shout-out after the premiere, because I even liked House Flipper. Good luck!

A very enjoyable game with a lot of potential! The graphics are beautiful. The ability to customize items is a great idea. However, adding a help grid for better item placement would be appreciated, as well as a better-organized catalog. All my best wishes for the development of this game :)

I've been waiting for a good game like this for years. What breaks a lot of games like this for me is the limited selection of furniture and design options, a way of easily integrating real life furniture and "stuff" would be revolutionary. Workshop integration is pretty much a must I think.

So far no game got this quite right I think, so good Luck:lunar2019shockedpig::lunar2019smilingpig:

Workshop integration would be difficult, but we have it somewhere on our minds :)

It's great thank you ! What I would like to be able to create is Half floors (in the same room, elevated by a couple steps or so). Curved walls would be nice aswell (I may have missed it)

Great idea for a game. Hopefully expecting steam workshop or mods to add new textures and models.

Can we have the option to select between default camera movement and the tradicional 1st Person moviment? I'm not a big fan of having to hold RMB to move the camera like in most 3d development tools.

I would work on the movement controls, I don´t like much the AWSD movements. But maybe I would leave it there but also implement the mouse control, like in Sims, left or right button for moving, the other one for rotation and the wheel for zooming. I would also appreciate if the room had solid ends so we could not move out of the room.

I don't consider it a "game" per-say, I personally play House Flipper 2 purely for the sandbox mode for building houses, which this is doing a better job so far with diagonal walls alone.

I would treat this as one of those "Xen toys" like 'Little Glade' where you just catharticly build your own happy place, I want to be able to build not just a house but maybe a base in a post-apocalyptic setting, a living-quarters in spaceship or submarine, anywhere for anything, just have a solid room builder where you can indulge in any fantasy, I don't think it should be restricted purely to houses and I can fully appreciate that there will be limitations in both scope and ability.

I think a great compromise is breaking down furniture in to parts and making a "furniture builder", swapping various components and parts instead of full models and geometric shapes you can texture and build with and save the whole custom model to use later.
A developer of this app has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Needs to have the unit of measurements easily toggle-able between imperial and metric for rescaling walls

One thing that seems to be missing from all these games is the ability to create height offsets within a room, such as a sunken living room.
