So, how about Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon at some point?
Having this game released on Steam was quite a surprise all things considered. For those who have been fans of Mistwalker for a long time, you no doubt would've played this delightful pair of RPGs in the form of Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon that were both relesed exclusively for the Xbox 360 and haven't been heard from since. Given that Microsoft is actively courting Steam nowadays, I think there might be a chance for these two games to make it over here too, no? As an aside, Mistwalker also did Last Story for the Wii but since that one was published by Nintendo, the chances of it ever appearing elsewhere is pretty much zero...

Unfortunately I’d tend to disagree about there even being a chance. If either Square or Namco were the publisher there would be as both have shown a lot of interest in bringing their previously console exclusive backlogs to PC.

But Microsoft never shown interest bringing in forward any older series that’s not Halo (outside of one GoW remaster?). Even to their own platform as see with the backcompat program now being ended.

Unfortunately it would probably require an interested external party like Aspyr or Nightdive
Why should they care? Look how poorly the game is selling.

Either one of those games would be better than this horribly written and paced game. The demo alone should keep this from selling. I also gave up on ever seeing a remaking or either Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon. I fortunately have the physical copies and just bought a used Xbox. I can say that was worth ever penny.

Alrighty. Let's hope for the best shall we?
Yes, and yes.

I disagree. That was old thinking. But now 1. Gamepass. And well phil wants games everywhere, and pc gamepass to grow.

Technically they could release both separately, what I would prefer and on steam. Or, make an app, put it on steam, let users buy the game and p lo ay through it. Many companies fo this now on steam.
Well, one can hope that Phil sees the light.

What seems most likely to me, currently, is that we'll see a native PC port done by the community. Now that there's tooling and expertise for it and the Sonic Unleashed port turned out so well there's been a lot of calls for Lost Odyssey to be the next project.
