FFX and lost odyssey

Is this the game I have been looking for? I LOVED both of those games and have been hungry for a good turn based JRPG

Really digging the game. The music, the dioramas, the cutscenes, the memories, the cool aspects of the battle system. It's simple, classic, and yet a breath of fresh air.

I played for a bit, and my only real complaint is no ultra wide support. It does feel a lot like a classic ff game, but with a smaller budget.

FF8 was the one with dinosaurs - this game is 100% inline with the Ps1 titles which ff8 is(Along with 9). FF11 is the first MMO.

the one with mc with a tail, what you need to know is the game tries to do serious plot while blending in some comedy elements with silly recurring characters that you will have to fight like 7 or 9 times as they teach you game mechanics and act like team rocket from pokemon. ff10/ffx, kinda took the series into a more cinematic experience at the cost of the game being a bit more linear, this like others mention is more akin to ps1 era games. I really think it's not bad game despite the stigma it's getting just for being a mobile game. it's not flawless and you can tell it does not have the same budget as say a main ff title, mainly cuz it was funded by apple for apple arcade, so they did cut some costs on like some cutscenes being still images with text, which is now voiced at least. But in general, if you truly like turnbased combat, and you enjoy story-driven games, and you're fine with oldschool style games where you enter an area and explore for items etc, then you'll hopefully enjoy the game.

I'd say so. It's not trying to blend Uncharted style action with the RPG like The Last Story is. It's very much Sakaguchi going back to his roots, but adding a modern twist on top.

Fantasian is less old school than Lost Odyssey, but you can still tell it's part of the same lineage.
