I love both but Rebirth is my recommendation, so long as you're already invested on the story of VII Remake.

Rebirth is a huge game and does some stuff that we've effectively been trained to believe isn't possible to do in modern JRPGs anymore, given the scale and fidelity of games nowadays.

FFVIIR unlike this it's more worthy of it's price.

This is a fine game but it screams mobile and the quality is not that good. I'm playing it on switch for free and the diorama backgrounds don't fit very well with the game and it's sometimes very confusing to navigate because it's not clear where to walk or go, the navigation is a nightmare because you constantly have to open the map to look at where you are and where to go next since there is no minimap and the camera constantly changes angles.

The combat and the story are good, music is ok, background design sometime is an hit and others is a miss.

This game is not worth 50€ I would maybe consider buying it for 15 or less.

I've played the previous release of this.

Rebirth is humongous, so if hours is a metric (which it shouldnt be) that is longer.

I would Play Romancing SAGA 2 if you want traditional JRPG as its a much better game with better everything, or Rebirth which is also a much better game if you want modern.

What the hell are you on about, they're both story driven RPG's. Why are you acting like they're so different, they're as close as you can get without slapping the Final Fantasy label on Fantasian, the only difference is one is turn based and the other is active combat.

Yeah 'k it's not tastes dependent, nice take my friend. I'll advise to someone who don't like hard turn based jrpg with FF XIII boss mechanics to take Fantasian instead of FF VII rebirth and if he complain I'll just say "whatever bro it's exactly the same, Dede on a forum told me so".

Rebirth if you like Final Fantasy 7 fanfiction. Fantasian if you like more original titles.

If you liked Final Fantasy 10, 8, and/or Kingdom Hearts, get Fantasian. It's an absolutely peak PS2 Era JRPG that feels like a mix of those 3 games. There are no "Mobile" issues here. If anything, it is a well made, full fledged JRPG that was improperly cast as a mobile release than the other way around.

If you liked, FFVII more than the above titles, get Rebirth, which is a great meta-fiction set in that world.

I will say this much: Fantasian will scratch a VERY specific itch better than anything else on the market. You need to just figure out if it's the itch you have. Play the demo and see.
