"Super Hard" difficulty?
Does it actually exist?

As far as I know, they're the only one who has reported it exists and they have the Steam version.

I can access NG++ on Switch and don't have it.

Maybe in an earlier build there were three difficulty options, and one got removed before release, I don't know. There were definitely only two options when I started the game.

I find hard pretty hard on bosses. Always close battles.

I'm pretty sure it's an urban legend, until there is more significant proof.

Hard's just hard if you're not prepared for the elemental damage or ailment spam, requiring a reset. It's kind of tedious if I don't have Amber XLs for Giga Minotaurus randomly spawning in Middle Void Realm for everyone's final weapon upgrade (it's the difference between 10k damage and 4k).

A tweet from December 5 about its existence,

another from December 19 that confirms the stat changes ("HPx1.4/ATK,DEFx1.5").

The GameFAQs post was on the 17th.

There's only 2 builds for the Steam version, launch on the 5th and the demo on the 16th. So I can only imagine this third Steam-exclusive difficulty would still be there? It was never advertised in pre-release AFAIK, and YouTube/Reddit/Discord has no other mentions.

Taken from Google:

"To unlock the "Very Hard" difficulty in Fantasian Neo Dimension, you need to progress through the story until you reach Act 2, rescue the character named Ez, and then complete the quest called "Ez and the Guild"; once these conditions are met, you can speak to the same child who initiated the "True Dimengeon" quest to unlock the "Extreme Dimengeon" quest which will upgrade the Dimengeon to the "Very Hard" difficulty level.

Key points to remember:

- Act 2 Progression: You must be in Act 2 of the story to access the "Very Hard" difficulty option.

- Rescue Ez: Completing the quest to rescue Ez is a prerequisite.

- "Ez and the Guild" Quest: After rescuing Ez, you need to finish the "Ez and the Guild" quest.

- Speak to the Child: Once the above conditions are met, talk to the same child you interacted with to start the "True Dimengeon" quest to unlock the "Extreme Dimengeon" (Very Hard)."

That's not the 3rd "Super Hard" difficulty, that's a +10 increase to your Dimengeon cap (40 to 50) and is not more difficult. You'll still going to be spamming Leo's Flare/Plasma Slash, Valrika's Arrow Rain +2, or Tan's Galf/Adolfo Slash EX into Ez's Vacuum to steamroll those fights.

Another person quoted that """source""" in post #12 of this thread, it's wrong.

What this game needs is not a harder difficulty but an easier one below normal to make it possible to get quicker through the slog that are otherwise almost all boss battles in part 2.

It's not about the end, it's about the journey

I'm the one who created the gamefaqs topic in December and I definitely have the Super Hard difficulty option. Actually just beat the game last night without ever lowering it. Level 64 party and 300+ hours on the game clock:P Half of that is idle playtime but yeah, took me a while. Do you have any suggestions on what would be sufficient proof?
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

WTF it was true!? You didn't LIE!?

Oh my gosh, if I ever knew that I would've bought Neo Dimension from the get go never sticking with the Apple Arcade version. Sorry for doubting you, sometimes there can be still secrets in video games, especially for those no one cares for.
