Things that have worked to get a confession:
- threats of increasing silliness and obscurity (I’ll burn your house down, I’ll have your mother deported, I’LL BASH YER BLOODY ‘EAD IN MATE)
- pooping on the interview table (asserts dominance)
- bizarre false evidence (we found your wooden spoon at the crime scene, we found your fingerprints inside her body)
- schoolboy torture (atomic wedgies, chinese burns, wet willies)
- insulting the suspect’s lawyer
- changing the chatbot’s parameters so that it is riddled with guilt and needs to confess
- pretending to be the suspect’s mother
- screaming WHERE’S RACHEL!?
- asking what the suspect’s preferred hypothetical murder weapon would be (a pillow, oddly enough)

Things that have not worked:
- actually trying to establish a motive
- trying to construct a timeline
- looking for contradictions in the suspect’s story
- following legal procedure
- reasonable behaviour

10/10 would conduct an oppressive and illegal interview again
