I don't have a steam deck but can tell you that this will most likely run very well. It was performant on middle-of-the-road PCs in 2017, and is native to SteamOS. You'll need to set up controller mappings, but it has a fairly simple control scheme, so you should have no trouble.

It has native Linux support so should be fine. I'm not sure if the game will play very well on a steam deck given it's a speedrunning platformer requiring precise movement and input.

I gave it a test on my deck and it seems to work fine. Would probably be a little tricky to play with joysticks but trackpad aiming might work well.
