Flower Trees eating Golden Rain Fertilizer

I've noticed the flowered trees use the fertilizer stored in the ground from Golden Rain even though they have no fruit to gain tiers. Is this intended or a bug?

Does Golden rain only work during the rain effect? I should have millions of stored fertilizer at this point yet the saplings sit idle until it rains. Once the rain starts, the saplings sprout into trees before absorbing enough fertilizer to even get close to maxxing out.

the saplings use it if any is stored at all, if you aren't using Fertimole and Flower Mole i can recommend them together. you get *alot* of fertilizer absorbed if you are actively focused on using rain/snow

Yeah, I use those but still only see the effect trigger during rain and the effect is soooo slow that the tree matures before maxxing out. Thanks for the pointers though!

yeah if you have enough fertilizer absorbed into the ground trees can just appear and hit max tier, so it's most likely either a frame rate thing or you go through your trees to fast to let the fertilizer build up.
