game stuck on loading screen

title screen good, options good, click new game ---- switches to "loading" and just loads and loads and loads, then finally says "fatal error" in a small window
Anybody else have this, or have any ideas?

I've started getting this error, though it used to work fine for me.

It took like a solid minute even on my pretty decent gaming rig to get past the loading screen, so it could just be incredibly slow.

I am more concerned about the fact that every time I find a game where you cannot remap the controls that I am staring into the face of pure evil

Mine's just stop loading and froze
