Game needs some stronger marketing guys, I found it completely by chance and it deserves better

better than skull & bones

It's almost as if they saw Skull and Bones and thought "we can do this better" and then proceeded to do so. I don't typically enjoy video games where you are limited to a vessel/ship/vehicle and can't walk around as a playable character but this game for some reason felt enjoyable to me. The simple progression and crafting and leveling of your vehicle and tools on board felt well done and thought out. The shooter mechanics are there and simple enough to enjoy as well, assuming with better weapons as you get further into full launch. Can't wait to see how the MMORPG aspects of this game play out, may be toxic AF or a blast... or both.

game is fun ... pretty sure though gajin will f*** it up with super greedy micro transactions like everything they got their hands on. Well we will see once the game releases.

Rough around the edges? Yes. Still fun? Absolutely

Good sample of what we experienced in the CBT, albeit very limited.
This sample was well polished, and flawlessly executed.
The Translocator mission is the final mission before you would be locked out of the character you made, and cannot free roam after doing that quest.

I spent hundreds of hours in the CBT, and the world is VAST, and rich with combat very similiar to a high speed shooter style with the machine guns, cannons, and other ship equipment options.
High skill ceiling to the gameplay! Leading shots, and targetting specific ship components or sailors that control weapons systems, pumps, weak spots like power producers, and speed boost components are all very fine motor control skills you would need to master to suceed.

Very engaging gameplay.

If you play this game, and dont pay attention to the time of day, its regular that you start seeing sunlight through your windows and go "OH GOSH ITS 7AM"

They listed this game as free to play up until the release day. I went to the store page and clearly on multiple days showed up as "Free To Ply". The game by it's release name. No Prologue, No Demo.

Then they push the release date a week, and poof not only do they have micro transactions, payable in game currency, but now the game has three versions all from $39.99 to $59.99.

I have been loyal to Gaijin, and spent a lot of money on their company especially through Warthunder, but no, I honestly felt mislead and I am not eager to pay thousands into another game especially when I have to pay up front for it after making me and thousands of other players think this was going to be a free to play.
