Something like Alien legacy maybe?

Did you know the good old Alien legacy?
In this game you are commanding a colony ship that needs 50 years or so to its destination. Once arrived you notice that 10 years after you left earth there was a second ship started with a far better engine that reached the system 20 years ago. But all you can find are some ruins and a mystery to solve before you get lost too.

You have to explore the system with probes or manned missions, build planetary and orbital outposts and support them with shuttles.

Would be great if there would be such a metaplot and the ability to explore the system once a colony is established.

I think, for now we want to explore the setting as it's established in the backstory on the main menu. That means, just one planet...which should be enough to tell lots of stories...after all, a planet is pretty big.

alien legacy was a great game. i wish i could find one like it now. the storyline was great too. and both endings were fun. although the peaceful ending was more informative :)

Is there any game that is close to it? I loved that game! I would love to play another game like it, maybe a bit more up to date would be nice. ;)
