What does Godpoke mean?

I'm very confused as to why everyone calls you godpoke in this game, I know half the term comes from the term cowpoke, but what does the god part imply? As far as I could tell you weren't going to be elected a god or anything.

Early on Ms. Mitternacht says the player character looks kind of like King, based on the outfit they wear. Everyone notices this, Godpoke is a play on both that and the word cowpoke.

Further clarification, cowpoke usually refers to a cowboy/vaquero (but is more gender neutral - instead of trying to use cowboy/cowgirl/cow...person? you can just say cowpoke, it's like postal carrier or fire fighter) and both GP and King are in vaquero clothes.

This is also why Razzmatazz calls you Vaquerito ('little cowboy' basically). So the outfit and title are linked, it's not just the devs being goofy.
