Mandatory Scroll wheel?

I am currently at the first person dialogue encounter with the inspector less than 30 minutes into the game. Since I am using a trackpad, I cannot progress since I cannot select the prompted dialogue (if i try to empty the inventory the bubbles automatically load back in). Is there any where to get around this, or am I more or less stuck? ty...

Might be a little stuck with speech bubbles?

Anyone else having trouble getting speech bubbles from the gods? It’s always only the gods. I’ve tried many times but sometimes I can’t suck them up. I spent at least thirty minutes trying to get a speech bubble from Thespius and when I finally got it, it felt like random chance, I didn’t do anything differently I just happened to get it. The same problem is happening for me with Click Clack right now and i’ve been here for a while repeating the same dialogue trying to catch his speech bubble. I...

What does Godpoke mean?

I'm very confused as to why everyone calls you godpoke in this game, I know half the term comes from the term cowpoke, but what does the god part imply? As far as I could tell you weren't going to be elected a god or anything.
