Joystick Throttle does not work with game.

I have a Thrustmaster T.Flight Stick X and everything on it works except for the throttle. Because of this I end up having to use the keyboard which makes it extremely difficult because when I touch either increase or decrease, instead of it increasing gradually or slowly it does it extremely fast usually resulting in max speed or no speed immediately. Is there a way to get the throttle to work on my joystick?

My throttle doesn't work on my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro also, but what's worse is that I can't turn to the right, every other direction works, and the rolling works too, but I can't go to the right.

i'm using thruystmaster t-flight hotas-x and it work's just fine with the game, have you tried to calibrate your controller?

If anybody has the throttle working I'd love to know. Apparently Microsoft changed the way throttles are read between Win98 and WinXP and X-BtF no longer can read throttle data. This matches my own experiences (On Win98 it worked fine with my X45, on WinXP and now Win7 it doesn't). There's threads about it on the Egosoft forums as well.
There's spurious reports of some people claiming to have gotten it working though...

After fiddling around with Universal Joystick Remapper, I found that the Z axis is read as the throttle and that the Z Rotation (ZR) axis is read as the roll. Everything else (aside from the X and Y axis of course) goes unused. The Logictech Extreme 3D Pro has it's throttle set to the Slider axis which is why it doesn't respond.

Using both vJoy and Universal Joystick Remapper could fix this (if you happen to come across any other joystick remappers please inform me).

I dug out my Ace edge, throttle works but its babkwords. I have up down left right and roll.
It is an Ace Combat6 hotas for xbox.
It works with the game just the throttle is inverted, i can't change the throttle.

I have a microsoft sidewinder 2 joystick with throttle no responding too. I am having to use keyboard for throttle control any help please

I have a Thrustmaster T.Flight HOTAS X, and run Windows 7. My issue wasn't that it didn't read the thruster, but it didn't register correctly, so at full throttle it barely moved. I went into the Windows control panel and did a quick calibration, works fine now.
