Every time I try to start it, or any of the other HE games, the screen turns back, and then I'm brought back to the Steam page. What gives? Why won't it even start?

I'd recommend verifying your game cache, and if that doesn't work get a fresh copy of the ScummVM program from http://www.scummvm.org/downloads/ and see if you can get it running with that.

Without starting a new thread or discussion I'm going to add on here. I bought the humongous entertainment complete pack and only installed pajama sam 3 for now to try it out. (had pajama sam 1 and 2 as a kid) now my game goes in, shows the humongous sign and whatever, then the screen turns black, but there is still sound. I'm running on windows 7, can't find a exe file to change compatibility. I'm not too sure how to verify a game cache. I usually try to figure stuff out on my own, or google what other people posted, but i have yet to find a thread or discussion which has given me a solution. This is my first time asking for online help from fellow gamers. Sorry pezhead53, I accidently added you as a friend. Was looking for a way to communitcate with you as I saw your input was in most of the threads I looked at. :)

Have you tried pressing "alt+enter"? From what you're describing, I think the game's trying to display at the wrong resolution, and switching from fullscreen to windowed and back again usually fixes that.

I need help on figuring this out. I've tried everything to fix this problem including downloading and running scummvm, but nothing seems to work. How does one reconfigure the code for the game to work?
