Pajama Sam in No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside

Pajama Sam in No Need to Hide When It's Dark Outside

Why is everyone so quick to help you trap Darkness? *Spoilers*
So if everyone in the Land of Darkness knows that Darkness isn't a bad guy then why do they want to help you trap him?

Darkness says that when he is out, everyone is asleep and he doesn't have anyone to play with, but everyone in the Land of Darkness is clearly awake. Everyone, except for the furniture in Darkness's house that quickly pretend to be asleep whenever the door opens.

Why doesn't anyone like Darkness? Why do they avoid him like the plague?

I always assumed that, like Sam, none of them had ever met Darkness and over time began to fear/avoid him due to fear of the unknown. Also, if I'm remembering correctly, Sam doesn't tell many people that he's going after Darkness and those he does tell pretty quickly dismiss it as a child playing pretend.

But it's the "Land of Darkness" and the only house around is Darkness's house. Plus Darkness has obviously tried to interact with the others.

I'm necroing this thread, seems like everyone hates on Darkness even though they know who he is. Can't miss his house. This is why we need pajama sam DLC to find out what really happened.

I love discussing plot holes in games. :-)

Do you all recommend and other games similar to Pajama Sam or Life is Strange?

I assumed they thought Sam was just a kid playing and wasn't actually going to hurt him

All of the Pajama Sam games represent the main character being imaginative within his
house. Like you can easily interpret Sam playing alone with his action figures in his closet during this game. As a result all the characters existing within his mind explains why they're quick to help Sam in his quest.
