Missing items?
Trying to find paddles for Otto and they're near the trivia doors inside where the music room is on the wall but when I climb up to the chandelier Sam doesn't reach for them, any help?

You must click on the paddles to start swinging, continue to click at the right timing till you reach the oars.

Yeah, same thing happens with me. I keep clicking the oars but Sam just won't reach for them.
How was this so easy when I was like 6 or something and impossible now?

I think it's a glitch. When I first enter the music room the oars aren't even visible until I get on the chandelier.

Just remembered about these games sometimes they change spots where things are, for instance Sam's lunchbox was in the water at the bottom of the falls when you're with Otto and I've seen it near the well past the trees, so they could definitely be in different places along with the flashlight it's either in the cave or the small house with the rusty hinges, not sure about the mask though.

The chandelier minigame is really tricky to figure out. You have to alternately click between each side of the screen to get him going farther and farther. It's a timing thing, but it doesn't work right if you only click one side, I think.

From the begining you can repeatedly click the mouse and it will get faster and faster, so I don't believe that it is in the timing. I saw a walkthrough of someone playing the game, and no matter how far away sam is from the center, he always waves his hand out, but it doesn't in my game. So there is an animation issue. Lastly, the paddles are not visible on the wall until you get to the chandeler mini game. I hope that this can be patched, or maybe running the game under different settings will solve the issue.

Strange, i'm playing a different game now and none of those problems are there. Maybe i didn't need the oars to read the lunchbox in the water?

I've created a new game a few times and I can never seem to get the oars. When I walk in to the music room, they're not even visible on the wall. I hope this gets fixed.

before i started the new game, i ran compatibility mode for windows xp (service pack 2) ran as adminastrator, and ran under 8 bit color. Try to see if that does anything.

If you can't get the oars its because you don't need them for your play through, hint there is more to the many door room the just then music room.

They're not visible when I first enter the room until Sam's on the chandelier, then they're there. But perhaps I'll try something else this time. And lucashp, I'd do that but unfortunately I'm on OSX. Yeah, I know.

but you need the oars if the lunchbox is in the water, right?

Cultinsideofme: are you running bootcamp? if you already have that, try installing the game on your windows partition, and then try instructions.
I did a play through last night and what I did after getting up there is that I just mashed the MOUSE1 until he reached over. Good luck!

In my play through last night, the mask was in the music room, the flashlight was in the shack and the lunchbox was next to the top of the well.
