Getting Into The Frickin' Thieves' Guild As A Warrior

Okay, I feel really, really dumb right now. I was just robbed in the inn last night by assumably the beggar girl. I gave the dog the scrap of cloth to follow, and he led me to the barrel in Regin's house, but I have NO idea what to do at this point. Whenever I try to touch anything Regin tells me not to, same if I try to use my golden sword on the barrel.

I looked around for solutions on Google but all I got was a face full of spoilers for what'll be happening later on in the game. There was supposed to be something involving letters on the objects in the room? But I only found an F on the cabinet and a D on the lamp.

So, yeah, I'm pretty much stuck at this point. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.

But Regin's always there. Like, since I had the dog guide me in there, Regin has not left. I've checked every few hours in-game, but he's always there.

thats weird, regin left the room after some time, try staying in the inn until afternoon, regin used to go talk with the innkeeper.

What I did: stayed in Regin's house while he's there, rested for one hour, left and went in again; if he's there, repeat. Worked out in the afternoon.

Regin will not leave his house until nightfall, and later in the game you'll see there's a very good reason for that :)

Well...found 6 Letters in Regis house, but I can´t get the password right..its DRFENL.

You're missing 2 letters that you need, look for more items.

Also you don't use every letter. With the 2 you're missing you only use 3 of the ones you have for a total of 5.

Yes, this one is a little tricky. Without giving it away, reading the clue from the cupboard you're told you only need half the letters (as Cyanide above alluded to). There's ten letters to be found in total in the Regin's house... but again you need just five. Also I suggest using some snowballs for throwing at those hard to reach places. The final clue... it isn't a thieves guild as such, now is it. I mean, what has everyone (Sigurd) been calling it? *wink *wink

As a Warrior, you don't need to worry about this puzzle nonsense. Wait until Regin isn't around and brute force your way into the Thieves Lodge.

However, keep the puzzle in mind for Thieves and Sorceresses, they will need to complete it.

Warriors use their intelligence in battle, not puzzles.

And believe me you'll need to be a smart fighter for some enemies :S

My warrior has 58 strength but Ikeep getting killed in the thieves lodge...Do I need to grind more?

no, use the "hand" command (press 3 then click somewhere)
