Fields are invisible other than making the grass disappear, but the underlying green ground texture is still there. At the very least a field should look like bare dirt before any work is done to it and it should change in appearance after shoveling, plowing, and seeding so you know what state it's in.
Right now all you can do is mouse over the bare ground and hope to get the prompt that a) you're looking at an actual field and b) what tool is needed next on that particular field. There are only a few thousand games with farming from Stardew Valley to Valheim that have done this before. Don't understand why a demo would be released with such a broken system.
The fields should be visible on the ground, and this is a serious bug (thank you for reporting it!) that we are already working on.
We will look at the entire farming system and seeds to fix any problems and soft locks. Thank you for bringing this to our attention!
I came here to ask about the fields made it hard to do the fields when you can't see them lol
That patch is already out, see notes for last hotfix.
