Quick Start up tips for Windows 10 users
It took me a while to get this 2009 game up and running on my Windows 10 machine.

Here are a few steps that might help get this game working for you as well.

After you install the game it will request that you install the latest Apple QuickTime.

The one that installs with Steam doesn't always seem to work, but I found the download from the Apple website will be your best bet.

Select "Typical Install"

After you successfully install this application, you MUST reboot your computer.

After rebooting try playing the game, it should work. However, the resolution will be very low. Be careful here, I tried setting my resolution to 1920 x 1080 and it made everything huge, but hid the settings box. I left the settings without confirming but this game doesn't revert back to default settings. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the game and selected a lower resolution. I switched to 1280 x 720. Just to be safe, you can select "Window Mode".

Now you need to set your controls, since the default controls are not configured properly. You won't be able to walk or change gears without setting up the controls.

Next is starting a new game. First thing you need to do is to select your route. You need to click on the bus stop sign and choose a departure time. It takes some practice to get this right, but after this you should be good to go.

Alt is the default to jump (over the sidewalk curb), and "C" is default to sit in your seat.

Pro Tip: If you select "realistic air brakes" you will need to rev your engine until the air brake PSI reaches 80 before the brakes will disengage.

Have fun and enjoy this game for the first time, or getting to know this game once again.

Here's a video of some game play I posted 10 years ago when the game was first released:

Thanks for you contribution! Which Windows 10 version do you use? I try by your steps but didn't work in version 1909. Once I launch the game, it just get black screen and back to desktop shortly after.

Where are you finding a safe version of Quicktime since my understanding was Apple never updated it after the security issues were discovered and everyone was warned to uninstall it from Windows machines?
