Get rid of hosts, make dedicated server systems
It's frustrating playing an exciting match, only to end if either the host gets killed or selectively moderates the game for people on a winning streak... Keep it fair, folks... Lose the dedicated host system, replace it with dedicated servers moderated with anticheat detection systems... You can still have a friend party and screw around with settings on non-dedicated filters, but people who look for a quick multiplayer match are often the victim of unfair policies by Discord moderator-like people.

Tell you what, if I'm hosting and 3 people all take their confirmed shots at just me, without targeting anyone else, or missing, I'm kicking all three of yous.

Okay, so you get mad at game mechanics? What if the opposite if the case? Corrupt hosts and co aiming for randoms joining the lobby? It's gambling, buddy. You wouldn't survive a real casino with that mindset.

Dedicated servers probably aren't the way for this, but a host migration system could be huge for preventing issues caused by leaving hosts.

knocking out the weakest link is an age-old tactic and after that first shot, there's always going to be someone closer to elimination than the rest.

Though to be fair, I've experienced experienced a bit of "host griefing" as well but I never kick the people. I just use injectors to take their phones and spyglasses then start screwing with the shell count using beers and polarizers to make it harder for them to know what shell is next. Doesn't always work against a more experienced player, but it's fun to watch someone take a shot that they thought was blank with such confidence.

My bigger issue is the amount of rage-quitting I've experienced when someone's about to lose a round

Host can be dynamic, if hosts left, random player can become host

Yet, the kicking system is still active by the host itself which means unfair gameplay will be possible.

Vote kick
This is why I tend to host with only jammers removed as my only table modification

if everyone wants to dogpile host? so be it those who tend to try that leave on first death
hell me dying first just lets me quickly figure out who's paying attention

and who needs magnifying glass and saw to pose any threat onto anyone at the table and are severely allergic to burner phones, inverters, remotes
