Mobile phone in multiplayer

Played a few games with a friend, and we both noticed that it seems that if someone uses the phone, phones of next players would lie to them?
For example:
My friend uses phone on their first turn and it tells them that shot 3 is armed, which turns out to be true
On next turn I use phone as well, and it tells me that 5 shot is blank and then, 5 shot is actually armed
This happened multiple times so I'm not sure if it's intended, a bug, or we somehow managed to miscalculate shots on multiple occasions

Remember that the phone is relative, not absolute, i.e. shot 5 is assuming the one in the chamber at time of use is shot 1

It is bugged. While playing 1blank 3 loaded bullets, first round I use phone it says 3rd blank. I use saw to double damage and the round turns out to be blank. Such a joke

Idk second guy's deal. But the way the phone works is relative to the round in the chamber. If you're on the second round in the chamber and the phone says 4th live, that's not 4th live of all the rounds, that's 4th live from the current round in the chamber.

Essentially think like this. You're on this round.

And the phone days fourth blank

That means it's referring to the fourth one from the round you're on.
