The Dealer shouldn't have access to adrenaline
It's unfair because as soon as he has it, you HAVE to use your good item(s) so he can't. here's the main scenario. you have full health and have a cigarette pack saved in case you get shot. Dealer has adrenaline. you have to smoke your cigs and waste it at full health because the Dealer will just steal it after he takes damage. it's not fun to see your whole run ruined because you ARE ABSOLUTELY FORCED to use your item(s). the argument of "he can only take one" really doesn't matter if one is enough to kill you.

I think it's more fair that the dealer has access to all the same tools you do, it makes it feel more like an intelligent opponent. You can take his items so its only fair he can take yours too :)

Adrenaline gives you the same advantages the dealer has. Screw the cigs, use your adrenaline to take *his* good items, which are all the items which would give him knowledge above him counting the shells. Take eyeglasses and phones, or, if you already know the next shells, take saws. If unsure, take handcuffs. I practically never take inverters, except I know what I want.

Cigs, beer and pills are my least priority. I never smoke cigs at full health. Why should I?

The day the game will be multiplayer, it'll be difficult to argue "the opponent shouldn't have access to adrenaline, it forces me to use the best items first".

You are already at an advantage for starting first every round. ur trying to change this game into a babysitter

You already have an unfair advantage to always go first (which I heavily abuse)

ya going first all the time is a huge advantage. if you get the right items most of the time the dealer doesnt even get a turn

you also get turns where you had zero chance to win because of item's given and the dealers held items. I've played games where dealer had 3 Adrenelins.

Bro, the game itself is quite leaning on the player's advantage by letting the player be the first one to act.

being first doesnt mean you'll win.

You expect to win every round though? Kind of ruins the point of being an achievement and all, and most rounds aren't even that bad (but not all).

I don't expect to win every round. it's just unfun when he pulls an adren and you have to use your good items because he WILL take them on his round.

In more cases than not, with good items, you going first can guarantee a victory without dealer getting a turn.

I get the frustration part of the dealer having a good opportunity with adrenaline to screw you, but it's important to remember, THIS IS A GAME CENTERED ON LUCK, if you are going to play this you going to need to accept that sometimes the coin will land on his side and you have little control over that.

More so think of this thematically, i dont think the dev expected this game to be more popular past his initial horror audience (perhaps), this is a game that is a representation of gambling addiction and a dystopian setting where only the thrill of losing your life saves you from numbness.

Its just ♥♥♥♥ you have to deal with and plan around and even then you are going to end up losing but it is what it is. My best advice is to learn the dealer's patterns, what items he prioritizes first so you can plan around what items to leave and what needs to be used immediately, usually dont leave yourself any glasses, knifes or cigs, usually in that order as he prioritizes glass a lot. Also use cellphones immediately if you have them, they almost always offer you different info each time you use it, also avoid using pills as much as possible, those are good fodder when left and have a good chance to do 1 damage and could be the difference between going into next mag or winning on that one.

Lastly, some personal annecdote that just happened yesterday: on one of the first 3 rounds the round was about 4 charges, i managed to leave him at 1, however we had both lots of items and i forgot 1 magnifying glass and a pack of cigs. Long story short, he got into full health and i was left without items at the end of the magazine, so basically a full restart with him having a full table. Later on in that same game i finally got the 1M achievement, so that horrible round was frustrating yet it didn't matter at the end of it. What DID make the difference, was the horrible amount of luck i had when i had like 3 rounds in a row that were 2 lifes each and i got luck on my side, both for shots and some items helped too. So try to not stress about it, you can have amazing rounds back and forth for like 10 or so rounds? you are just one round away from losing
