Windows Audio Issue
I feel like this is a common question but can't find any solid answers, probably due to the lack of quality explanation.

I notice the audio in the game dies in different ways:
- A sudden loud sound, AKA getting shot
- Being in certain positions, such as the hallway between first and second door
- Random occurrences

Not all audio dies when it does, usually it's ambient, music, or interaction related sounds. The rest have a good chance of persisting.

Some extra notes:
- When it dies, you can unplug and replug headphones (I have Logitech G432, so USB) and it will come back till it dies again.
- Drivers are up to date
- This is the only game I've ever had issues with
- I have tried adjusting volume and tinkering with windows audio settings

Does anyone know any perm fix knowing these scenarios? I love the game, but not having audio completely takes away the experience.

Bump.

Also, I get crackling sounds and some distortion at times.

Hi!

We're still trying to find a proper solution to this problem without DIY workarounds like "turn the device off and on again", hopefully we can get this done soon.

Thank you for being patient with us!

Yeah I still get a loud beep when I pass the first room and audio cuts off I hope it gets fixed since I used bluetooth headphones and turning it off and on is annoying

I think it's a problem when you use a USB converter; there's probably some incompatibilities with USB audio input

Hey guys! Try the following, it worked for some players:

1. Press Windows+R
2. Type in "%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Buckshot Roulette" and press "OK"
3. Delete or relocate the file buckshotroulette_options_12.shell

*Please let me know if this helped

Ok I'm finding different problems at different stages of Hz set to my default audio. For example at 96,000 it will appear almost immediately, at 48,000 it will take a little longer, and at 44100 it'll take again even longer to trigger.

Thanks for letting us know! Have you tried doing what I told other players to do?

I tried this and it didn’t really work, as the volume cuts off on my wired headphones a couple seconds after I go through the first door.

Hi! Unfortunately, this is a common occurrence across Godot-engine games. Besides the aforementioned workaround, there is another, albeit tedious, one: have you tried unplugging and replugging headphones?

Any update on this? I keep having to switch sample rates between 44.1k/48k to return audio to normal after the crackling starts after some time.
Considera Core Nov 2, 2024 @ 11:33pm
You just can't use USB for audio
