The phone gives you one hint about the actual round, it could be "7th bullet is a live one", for example. Which you use and keep track of it when you play.
In the menu, the locked multiplayer has a globe icon so I guess it will be online multiplayer, which sounds fun because the game is an instant grab for its low price and instant fun.
Yeah, phone would have to be disabled in local multiplayer then. :/
You still didn't said how it should be implemented. How would that work in your opinion?
Wild, I know.
For Fks sake, why would you think a turn based game be split screen?! What, is standing around watching the other guy on the other end of the table while you do nothing THAT CRUCIAL to the experience??? Honestly man, use your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ head. Clearly it perspective shifts based on whose turn it is.
It's rather you who should use your head for once. I don't know if you noticed when the opponent gets a lot of items they can be blocked by one another. That's just one of the exemples why one player should be allowed to see only from their perspective.
The venue is the problem. I take it to a card shop that is ONLY OPEN WHEN HOSTING YUGIO TOURNAMENTS. I swear, yugio players suck man. They are so tunnel visioned. I setup signs a whole setup, multiple controllers, essentially that of a PAX booth every week to give these guys something to do while they are in between matches. . . but they rather just walk around aimlessly talking to no one and just stair out the window or do some other loner ♥♥♥♥. It's insane. I never had this problem when the previous owners ran the place. Magic the Gathering crowds were way better. (For context, the old owners framed the place as a hobby shop hangout spot where as the new owners just frame the place as "the place the yugio tournaments are hosted at").
I'd go somewhere else but driving and owning a car is outside my budget and it's the only place locally that's within reasonable walking distance. It works, atleast it did with my switch back in the day. . . you just gotta find the right crowd and venue.
Why persist on with the discussion when you don't have all the date? Frankly I really wonder how could work in local multiplayer. And every scenario I have in mind seems to be detrimental to the games experience.
