It does look like they're getting greedier along the way. Maybe they priced it with big sales in mind. Quite possible that the GOG price might eventually be bumped up to this then when the contract comes up for renegotiation after GOG has introduced it's regional pricing.
You found this game too expensive? DON'T F*****G BUY IT and move on with your life.
This, saying that one or two games have appeared from years ago that ive invested in, but generally its an attempt to milk.
GOG is going to do regional pricing?
There wont be anymore reason using GOG then after that.
Well, it'll still be DRM-free, and they'll try and get fair priced deals where they can, and where they can't they're going to offer game codes or later, wallet credit to compensate for the difference.
But yeah, DRM-free is their biggest draw, and that's not really that interesting to me, I prefer Steam's convenience now over security from something that may or may not happen in the future
The DRM aint any problem for me either, GOG's real issue is the way they upload patches, it is way too slow, and many games cant be played online with people who play with games bought on Steam.
No.
Nonsense. Reread their 'back to roots' statement and take your time reading it and you'll realize they said nothing of the sort. It's the same message as when they introduced the regional pricing. "We'll try to get fair pricing, but it's up to the developers". They just focused on the trying part a lot more in the back to the roots announcement.
You should know that statement is nonsense from the simple fact that they focused so much on the notion that they'll be compensating people whenever they introduce games which aren't 'fairly' priced. If they weren't going to, they wouldn't have bothered saying that at all.
This. I have no idea why people get so uppity whenever an old title is rereleased on Steam. Would you rather be unable to buy it at all?
