Hey SAME HERE!! I could never get it to work on this Windows 10 laptop with the GoG version or the Steam version. I saw your post and thought I'd try it again (been probably 1 and a half years since I tried I guess) and IT WORKED. Not adjustments, no nothing. It even worked on my native resolution (2560X1440). Couldn't believe it! It was flawless while I played.. but I didn't play long so maybe there are still some problems but before it wouldn't even launch and on the one or two times I got it launch it froze on the opening screen.

This is awesome. I beat this game a long, long, LONG time ago and have for some time wanted to experience it again. It's no where near the best game I ever played.. it's got some things that really bothered me in fact (levelling up) but it's very, very charming and it has an atmosphere that.... sticks with you. It made me feel like I was "in that place" better than any other game before that time. Since then there have been others, but that one was the first that I really felt like I was in a cold, wintry wonderland when I was playing.

Can't wait to get back into it. It's been a LONG TIME Soulbringer... me and you once more???

My head is still spinning what happened. This game was literally unplayable fo rme to (stuttering framerate) now suddenly it works. I am wondering if it was something NVIDIA did with their drivers? The only updates have been to my gfx drivers primarily since I last had issues... oh and I got an SSD, but that wouldn't explain it. Mind is blown. I am probably now 10 hrs in a new playthrough myself. It is the combat system I loved the most... god I love build a combo games like this. (Godhand and Absolver being two others)

Wow, it worked yesterday.... and then today a Windows update... and now it no longer works on my native resolution. Yesterday it worked fine on 2560X1440. When I picked it under Video, it passed the test and ran the game fine. Today, when I try and pick that option, no matter what device I use, it fails the test. I can still play it though, just now the "best" I can do is 1920X1080.

I so hate when Windows updates, it seems it messes stuff up on my system every time.

OMG It works on Nvidia & Windows 10 licensed after few manipulations. i have chosen Direct X 6 (GeForce GTX 550 Ti)

If anyone else has a mouse issue with this game with it getting stuck in a corner when the game loads you can change DPI settings under compatibility to override scaling behavior. https://imgur.com/a/h1Sk2q7

Yep, that is what fixed the issue of the mouse pointer being stuck in the bottom right hand corner of the menu screen for me too.
