I absolutely love this game
There. I just wanted to say it. Do any of you feel the same? I'd love to see a remake someday!

Just tried it today, I have to say there is something there that keeps me playing. I normally do not like horror movies, not to mention games, but this one is quite well done, though the way mobs hit you is annoying and some seem to spawn out of the blue.

Game is really fun, but I think it aged poorly, what are the chances of us getting a remake or a 2e game in the series ?

I also really love it. It has great sound design and jump scares. You just need to "learn" the game the first 1-2 hours. It involved a lot of dying and trying for me. But when you know how the game really works, it is just amazing.
I made a playthrough some years ago but missed one relative (damn), so I could not start the final fight. I am trying it again in a new playthrough at the moment.
In parallel I am reading Bram Stokers Dracula comic miniseries from the 90s painted by Mike "Hellboy" Mignola.

Despite it being really broken in some areas, it's got this weird charm that keeps me playing.

It has its flaws there is no denying that..... but still a classic fun game harking back to the days of old where waypoint indicators and hand holding did not exist.

I agree OP this game would be great with a lick of paint and some bug spray..... but i think the only way that would happen is if some talented community members did the hard yards.

yeah true ... there is one good thing about it though , you can cheese some enemies here and there when they are stuck on something.

like i said in another thread though quick save and quick loading is so important.
Imagine if there were no saves or a limited amount ...that would be so cruel.

i like this game because of butcher, that dog is so re..tarded but such a savior its amazing. many times has he saved my life, and many times has he throw himself of the castle walls like a dumass, he is the best part of the game for me really.

It'd be pretty cool to see.

Yeah it's an enjoyable game. It's not perfect and it hasn't aged too well, but that doesn't make it a bad game as it's still fun. I'd love a remake or remaster.

use high resolution exe and then use crosires DirectX8 to DirectX9 converter. Then install reshade to inject ambient occlusion, bloom, hdr, etc

there's something to the game. never played it and got it for free a couple of months ago. i usually just get cards for old shait games and not play them, but this one has me interested for some reason.

I have to say, this game really pleasantly surprised me. I didn't expect as much depth and creativity in it as there is and I'm really having fun. It's a bit rough around the edges but it's charming nontheless. I know this is a common sentiment but I would love it if they made a remake or even better, a sequel.
