Problems with Astral Battleground

So I've just hit level 43, and Competition shows something new called Astral Battleground. I click on it, then click on "Match" to see what happens. It says "Please confirm teaming first" and brings up a Formation window. Every time I try to close out this Formation window, it says "The number of constellation gods in a team cannot be zero at any phase."

I only *have* 3 goddesses -- Sphynx, Hydra, and Jormungandr -- and I have put all three of them into every team for every phase, but I cannot close the Formation window. Apparently none of them count as constellation gods, whatever those are. Since I can't exit the Formation window, the only way I can continue playing the game is to close the entire game and restart it. This is not good.

I *said* "I have put all three of them into every team for every phase". So what is a "constellation god", and how do I get one?

Aha, I poked around more and found that I hadn't set up the *Aeon* teams for phases 2 and 3. (Silly me, I thought I'd done that.) Once I did that, it let me exit the Formation window. So if it wants Aeons, why does it ask for "constellation gods"? Is that some leftover terminology from early development that never got updated?? It's extremely confusing and should be corrected.
