That is doesn't take much time is fine. I was more so asking because I didn't find a way to replay campaign levels as example.
I should perhaps clarify: I dont usually play many games like these and the few I do play have a replay function to service the grind, therefore I was wondering what the mechanic in this game is.
This game has a function that is not very obvious. You can go into the upgrade tab where you need drops from levels to upgrade your characters. And right there on those items you can click and select to spend energy to "farm" them. This is essentially the same as "replay grind" but automatic. So you get both exp to level up your account, and you get items to upgrade your characters.
Why on earth they hid it in there, instead of putting it on the campaign map, I don't know.
Maybe its me, but I'm almost sad it sort of replaces the replay-ability for the campaign levels. Though... I can also see why they chose for the automation. At any rate. By now that I've been playing for a few days, the game actually does grant quite some stuff in the end still. So I wont be complaining XD.
If you're stuck, there are a couple of things you can do. The solution to your issue, that you can't replay previous Campaign levels, can be solved by using the Advance feature to increase your Aeons' Rank. But here's some more general advice:
1) Study your Aeons carefully and figure out what their skills are. Warriors and Rangers deal damage, Tanks resist damage, and Support usually heal. Aeons tend to have a special attack that either hits the front rank, the back rank, a column, or everybody. If you're having trouble killing fast enough, add more damage dealers. If you are dying too fast, add more healers.
2) Aeons attack the enemy in the same column. Watch the fight, and if one in enemy in particular is giving you problems, stick a damage dealer or an Aeon with a stun (like Biscuit!) opposite him.
3) As noted, go into your Team and choose the Advance option. Choose one of the four items and Explore until you've collected enough to Advance your Aeon by a Rank. To do this, you will need Stamina, for which you can get 10 Nutrient Solutions per day from the Event Page.
4) Level up your Goddesses. Get Sphinx fragments to get her more stars and unlock Hydra and Jormungandr too. Join a Guild, it's the best way to earn Goddess fragments. Zodiac Twelve is the second best way, but you've got to be good enough to beat them. You can buy Goddess fragments by competing in PvP as well.
5) Go on Styx Exploration and Styx Assignments to earn the components needed to upgrade your Gear. Just earn as much as you can every day, and go to your Team and select the Gear option. You'll want to do the Challenge as often as you can, but if you get stuck because you aren't high enough level just come back every day and collect what's in the chest.
That should be enough to get you started. There should always be something to do, and if you can't progress, come back and try again tomorrow. Of course, it is always an option to buy a Corona Package, a Goddess in the store, or some Aeon that catches your eye. But I'm assuming you're trying to save your money.
1) Participate in Twilight of the Gods in order to earn Circuits. If you can, join a Team with a high level player who is helping lower level players earn high level circuits. If you can't find a team, Solo the highest level Giant you can, enough times to use up your MP for the day. Again, you want to buy as much Spirit Enhancer as you can for the day, from the Corona Store. You can buy Nutrient Solution too, but Spirit Enhancer comes first.
Again, you just go into your Team and add the Circuits to your Aeons, combining them as needed to level them up. I will also note that you can save up Spirit Enhancer prior to getting to the level where Circuits unlock. You don't want to use it all up at once, because you want to build up to the level where you can earn better circuits. But having a surplus of Spirit Enhancer on hand will speed up this phase.
2) Switch to Elite difficulty. Sometimes you can actually progress there when you are stuck on General difficulty. I believe access to Elite difficulty unlocks between Circuits and Artifacts, but take advantage of it as soon as it unlocks. There are no story elements in Elite difficulty.
Also, finishing Chapters in both General and Elite difficulty awards you Corona gems in the Oracle section of the Store. It's pretty much your main source of Corona. (There are also the Guild Events, and the minigames, which will be your main source when you get stuck)
3) Participate in the Giant's Armory in order to collect Titanium Steel. You'll get Artifacts too, but what you are really after is the Giant's Treasure. If you buy 7 items from this "store" you'll set some Titanium Steel which can be used to summon your Aeon's unique weapons. All the leftovers can be used to make weapons for your Aeons that don't have their own Artifacts. (Yet?) You need to spend Corona for those 7 items, but just buy the cheapest thing over the week before it resets.
You need to get your Aeons to UR in order to use Artifacts, but it is worth the effort. And the enemies you have to fight never get any stronger, so you can't outlevel them. You can also Summon Elite Artifacts by spending Corona.
4) Soul Caliber is also useful for making your Team stronger, but it's a lower priority for me. Just run it daily and use the Spirits you earn.
I'll admit that in the meantime I've advanced fairly considerably and most I have learned by now (by learned I mean I know of it, use it to some degree but definately not yet mastered it.
I'm currently lv 53, have several URs (yes, some money went into getting those globes)
Currently on Campaign chapter 60-something (don't recall the exact stage) and my core team (basically the one I poured everything in, is around 1400/1500.
One thing I know I'll be lacking in will be synergy between the various Aeons I have. Presumably the gear I have, not sure what an appropriate level would be for them in my case but I'm hovering the lv7-ish with purple.
With all that is said by now. I think I'm getting a hang of it. But I also guess the rapidness of the beginning is sort of... past and now comes the time where it'll simply take longer to acquire further progression on things outside of the Campaign.
However, again. Thanks for the wise words. I'll be sure to re-examine the state of my account and see where and what I can improve in to continue onwards.
