Where the hell do i find tin?

Quest page tier 3 had all the stuff on it that unlocked with materials from volcanic map 1, but the last quest required tin and i haven't found any tin there. Went on and completed the entire map 2 on planet 1 and dicovered loads of new materials but no tin. I haven't been able to use any of the new materials because om stuck on the tin quest. Even went back to the volcanic planet but haven't found tin anywhere! This can't be normal? Where the hell is tin supposed to be found?

Vulcanar 300-1000 contains Tin. More indicators and info is coming in tomorrow's patch that should better explain where to find what. Hopefully that will make the search less frustrating. Thank you for the report and hope you're still enjoying the game despite this!

I'm in Vulcanar 1 at the bottom and there isn't a single piece of tin on the map. :/

Tin comes before 11 on the PTE.

it looks like the stone indeed, so I totally miss it. Was thinking that maybe missing tin is a new game mechanics, where some of required element is located on another planet or obtained by other means, which ("means") I am going to learn soon (some kind of "furnace", "transmuter", maybe via trading)..

.. as a result I was totally confused and dig 1000 blocks without upgrades.. then prompt before doing 1-3 mentioned tier 6+ gear and I start to worry and found this post.

This guide was helpful in where to find different resources. Hold CTRL + F to bring up a search then type in the resource and click on one of the arrows.

There is already a periodic table in game.

The problem is that it doesn't show unknown resources at all, there is no an easy way to find element by name and game doesn't use powerful "hyper reference" technology of HTML (I think it's 30 years old), to be able to click anywhere (e.g. in quest overlay) on element and jump to periodic table.

I wish quest were more "classic" with description. at least few sentences "tin is to be found near magma" or something will help a lot.

After doing more planets I've spot the rule already, projects (aka quests) are needs to be done one by one in the given order, otherwise you will need to go up/down too much and all elements will be located on the same planet so far.

But at start of game figuring out rules is difficult. Just wanted to point that there is an issue and several players was and will face it.
