Well, I don't usually make stuff up. I didn't say that they know the player is male. I'm saying that the series in general, I think, is geared towards male players, with all the lolis and fanservice and all.

Based on TV Tropes page and watching my friends playing it...
...there is implied yuri (kinda hard to avoid since everyone is female), but they are rather mild.

this is why ill be avoiding it! implied yuri is yuribait and against my everything i believe in.
for a second i even considered this a family friendly game since they all look harmless and happy but i guess i was wrong
this series could easily be saved by having more males

i actually am but its also slightly amusing that someone went through the effort to give me a long reply about how my opinion is wrong. having a male lead doesn't have to make it a harem and making it harem just because it has a male simply tells me your game is bad and has nothing special to offer outside of straight up pandering to either yuri or harem fans.

i actually am but its also slightly amusing that someone went through the effort to give me a long reply about how my opinion is wrong. having a male lead doesn't have to make it a harem and making it harem just because it has a male simply tells me your game is bad and has nothing special to offer outside of straight up pandering to either yuri or harem fans.

Eh, fair enough. I do plan to purchase it precisely for those reason, anyway.

And I see Neptune's and Noire's relationship as just friends and Noire is just too embaressed to admit it. Again, it's whatever you make of it, if you see these scenes as Yuri then I can't help you, I personally don't really see it as such.

Also, just having an all female cast does not make it automatically Yuri.

People play the Hyperdimension Neptunia games for the humor its crazy parodies/references and likable characters. Seriously when you have "Let's Get Revengeance!" "That's not even a real word!" as actual dialogue its not even a remotely serious Game Series.
