Issues with Lilly Ranks
I don't know if it's a bug or Lilly Ranks are meant to be amazingly stupid impossible to actually level?

After thousands of battles (ok maybe several hundreds? I don't know) couples that have been together since the start of the game (like Iffy and Compa) haven't even gone up a single level.

Peachy and that other girl. I forget their names, and who are they anyways? They kinda just appeared and never have any dialogue in the sotry. Anyways even they still have the frowny face, and I've had them together since they first appeared.

I've also been using a level 4 Lilly Rank chip (Haven't found a level 5 yet) and two level 1's, and absolutely nothing's changed for anyone since I've started playing.

I feel like I'm nearing to the end of the story and the Lilly Rank hasn't changed at all, so I'm assuming there's something wrong (or well it should be).

Yeah you must be bugged if you fought literally hundreds of battles without changing your battle party and you still have IF/Compa/Neptune around 2-3 affinity.

Peashy and Plutia are DLC characters, so it makes sense they don't have any real place in the story. Though I hear they're from Hyperdimeinsion Neptunia Victory, I think?... I also heard they're tougher to level up. Have you tried giving disks to raise the lily rate to EVERYONE? You shouldn't have to, but if the alternative doesn't work, it couldn't hurt to try it.

I could try giving the discs to everyone if I find them.

Also, the game doesn't mention anywhere but do Lilly Ranks reset if I switch couplings around? It would be even more ridiculous than it already is if it did. It wouldn't surprise me.

lilly ranks are a permanent lv up.
dlc characters are not part of this dimension so they are not related lilly rank wise to any other characters.
i´m not even sure what bonus you would get for them.
plutia is the cpu in that other dimension for planeptune.
but yeah if you don´t equip the lilly rank discs this really takes ages and your new maker girls have way higher rank than any of your initial party.

For the Lilly Ranks. You need to have 2 characters partenred up for them to actually level at all. Just so you know the partnered ones will rank up with the more battles you fight in. There are also Red Chips that can boost Lilly Ranks making it a bit faster to level them up. As for the DLC members, Histy somewhat included, they start out at 0 and do take a rather long time leveling them up. Although, with Plutia you pretty much try to level her with whomever so she can be more dangerous that normal of course, same can be said with Peashy too.

Also, finally the Ranks cap off a 10, not like you need it that high, but that's more for bragging rights in a way. :nepnep:

The Lily ranks are between each distinct pair, so yes switching either of the two will display a completely separate rank.

You only gain Lily points when defeating enemies, or more precisely landing the finishing blow, and this is not shared amongst your full party; only the one linked pair gets anything from each kill.

A lv5 disc shouldn't take too long to rank up once (ten battles or so?), and you don't really need more than rank 3 for most useful passive skills. Also you must equip the disc on the character that's actually attacking, so it's useless on your reserve team (EXP works for them, though).

This is terribly incorrect, considering I have had Histoire defeat a boss, and a different pair gain a lily rank from that battle, therefore disproving it, and there are some skills that require a lily rank of 4, and for certain characters, you need around a 6 rank to do things.
One last thing, the stronger the enemy, the quicker you gain Lily ranks.

Yeah it's pretty much how may fights said paired teams go through, and yes the lvl 5 Lilly Rank Boost does help get ranks up fater by 10 battles or so.

Really, a boss fight without any adds, and you're sure a different pair that didn't get any kills that battle leveled up specifically from that fight?

Cause I've done a bunch of Colosseum battles on repeat with the same character killing everything with a giant AoE EXE, and nobody else gets any extra Lily or Credits even with a lv5 disc equipped.

And I said most, as well as useful. Show me a good passive skill that requires Lily Rank 6 and I'll eat my hat (doesn't it cap at 5...?). Some do go up to 4, but I don't remember anything good that I couldn't just get from someone else at rank 2 or 3. Mostly just crappy EXEs.

No adds on whatever boss it was, it was a few days ago, but, the colloseum against the bears, I've had two of my chars die immediately, and Histoire murdered them all, and ended up getting Nep and Nepgear to rank up once in a couple fights.
It caps at 10, and Nep Bull EX, look it up.

Ok yeah, did some more colosseum battles and it looks like you can gain ranks even if you don't get the kill, but I still don't think the disc works in that case. Definitely doesn't do anything on the back row since I gave them a lv4 disc as soon as I could and did pretty much the entire game without gaining any Lily Rank.

Also I just checked, and NONE of the passive skills require even rank 4, so I was entirely correct. What is Nep Bull EX?
Dagirkeran Apr 11, 2015 @ 6:11pm
There's EXE assists that require rank 4, is what I meant.

Nep Bull EX is (what I assume) the strongest Nep Bull, I've yet to create the plan for it, but considering there's like, 5 of them I've seen, I'd hope its a full heal item.
UnLuckyCat Apr 11, 2015 @ 6:21pm
You need Lily ranks for items? I didn't see any skills that needed higher than 5, and no passives need higher than 3, which is what I said.

I don't ever use the assist EXEs because the natural ones are generally way better.

I said nothing about skills past 3, just, you need a certain lily rank with Neptune and Nepgear for the Nep Bull, currently getting the materials to tell you what it does.
Wolfie-san Apr 11, 2015 @ 8:27pm
For the NepBull Ex plan you'll need NepNep's and Nepgear's Lilly Rank at around 6. Although best to have everyone with a Lily Rank around 4 so they could use their Partner's stronger EXE attack they get for the 4th slot.
