The upshot was that you could craft items that were worth MANY times more than the materials put in, breaking the economy. In victory, you took a 10K monochrome parka, added an invisible cloth to get a monochrome style (same as parka but with orig hair colour), which you could then sell for 1.25 Million. And you could do this as many times as you wanted.
As such, you can't craft your way to untold riches in the new ones.
