Why is Pirachu's name now Warechu?
This is something that's always bothered me about all the Vita games (including Noire) localized thus far. And now with the anime dub cast announcement, I just have to ask - why? Was it how it is in the original Japanese versions of the games, or is it something else? I liked Pirachu better.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and addume that the term "Pirachu" like the original logo design, was somehow still trademaked by NISA. Either that or Nintendo of America didn't like a parody charatcer having a name that close to that of one of their mascots (whether they liked the pun or not)

His original name in Japanese is Warechu. So Warez vs Pirates I guess. Not sure why it was changed in the first place.

It's not just the term "Warez". Warechu is a pun on, and pronounced exactly the same, as the Japanese term that literally means "Software Pirate".

Yay NISA and their "creative" liberalism!!! /sarcasm.
