PSA: Who represents what?
I'm doing this because I swear you people are doing this on purpose now. Anyway, I'm going to tell you (or at least try my best to) who represents what system/company/etc. Pretty much the goddesses just represent a specific line of their companies now (except the Planeptune girls).

Goddesses:
Neptune/Purple Heart = An unreleased console called the Sega Neptune. Read up here if you wish: http://segaretro.org/Sega_Neptune
Noire/Black Heart = Sony home consoles. She represents the PS3 for the most part. In the third game (Victory) she represents the original Playstation.
Blanc/White Heart = Nintendo home consoles. She represents the Wii for the most part. In the third game (Victory) she represents the Famicom/Nintendo.
Vert/Green Heart = Microsoft home consoles. She represents the 360 for the most part. In the third game (Victory) she represents the original Xbox.
Plutia/Iris Heart: She represents the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis. She makes her first appearance in the third game (Victory). Her name is probably derived from the unreleased Sega Pluto that was a Sega Saturn with the Netlink Modem built into it for online play (all the Netlink games are still playable to this day!). Read up here if you wish: http://segaretro.org/Sega_Pluto
Peashy/Yellow Heart: She represents the Turbogafx-16/PC Engine. She makes her first appearance in the third game (Victory). SHE DOES NOT REPRESENT A PC.
Rei Ryghts: She represents Atari. She makes her first appearance in the third game (Victory).
Uzume/Orange Heart: She represents the Sega Dreamcast. She’ll make her debut in the PS4 game.
NepGear/Purple Sister: She represents the Sega GameGear.
Uni/Black Sister: Sony handheld consoles. She represents the PSP for the most part, though like I said earlier the non-Planeptune goddesses just represent entire lines now.
Rom and Ram/White Sisters: Nintendo handheld consoles. They represent the DS (hence twins). Like I said earlier the non-Planeptune goddesses just represent entire lines now.

Makers:
Hyperdimension Neptunia:
Compa = Compile Heart. Compile Heart made this series.
IF = Idea Factory. Idea Factory owns Compile Heart.
Nippon Ichi/NISA = Nippon Ichi Software. They are most known for their Disgaea series.
Gust = Gust Corporation. They are mostly known for their Atelier series.
5pb. = 5pb. Games (or The Five powered & basics). They are mostly known for Steins;Gate.
RED = RED Entertainment. They are widely known for collaborating with Sega to make the Sakura Taisen series.

Hyperdimesnion Neptunia Mk2:
Cave = CAVE Interactive (or Computer Art Visual Entertainment). They are known for all the shumps they make.
Falcom = Nihon Falcom. They are mostly known for their Ys series.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory:
Broccoli = Broccoli. They are most known for the Di Gi Charat franchise. Puchiko herself represent the franchise in the Neptunia series.
CyberConnect2 = CyberConnect2. They are mostly known for their .hack series although some might only know them from their work on their Naruto Ultimate Ninja games.
MAGES. = MAGES. They own 5pb.
MarvelousAQL = MarvelousAQL (They are just “Marvelous” now). They are known for their Senran Kagura series.
Tekken = Tekken. She doesn’t represent a company, just a game franchise itself, which is of course the fighting game franchise Tekken (by Namco).
Compile = Compile. Compile was known for the Puyo Puyo franchise (which later went to Sega). When Compile died they split into two companies: Milestone (now dead as of 2013) and Compile Heart, the makers of this series. Compile was a Japanese only DLC character for the third game (Victory) and did not come back for Re;Birth3.

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2:
Felis and Stella = Felistella. They are the ones responsible for making the remakes of the first three games. I honestly don’t know what else they’ve done. Stella is not playable.

Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart:
Note that none of the girls here are official representations of companies/games and that they are all parodies of game franchises, except Sting.

Lid = Metal Gear
Moru = Monster Hunter
Sango = Dynasty Warriors
Lady Wac = Pac-Man
Vio = Resident Evil/Biohazard
Resta = Record of Agarest War
Wyn = Winning Eleven
Generia G = Super Robot Wars/SD Gundam G Generation series
Poona = Opoona
Estelle = Dragon Quest
Tsunemi = Project DIVA
Lee-Fi = Street Fighter
Blossom Aisen = Sakura Taisen
Ein Al = Final Fantasy
Saori = Tokimeki Memorial
Ai Masujima = iDOLM@STER
Little Rain = Neverland series
Ryuka = Yakuza/Ryu ga Gotoku
Sting = Sting Entertainment. They are the ones who made this game.

Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed:
Dengekiko = Dengeki Magazines
Famitsu = Famitsu Magazines

Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II:
Like the Noire game the Makers here aren't officially endorsed so they are once again parodies.

S-Sha = Sqaure Enix
B-Sha = Bandai Namco
K-Sha = Konami
C-Sha = Capcom

I wonder if she gets a note on Japanese pages that she is mistaken for the PC in the west.

I am almost certain she represents the SD Gundam G Generation series (Federation uniform, Gundam visor glasses etc.). But since both games are very similar I'd more than happy to acknowledge her as a SRW representative as well.

I wasn't too sure if i wanted to add both so I only put SRW since it's covers more ground basically.

Fair enough, SRW needs more exposure.

Nice, be cool if the dev would sticky this. But you already know that most Steam users won't bother reading this and we'll continue to see another billion topics over the same thing "who represents this" or "what is Neptune of?" and crap like that...

SRW needs PC releases. (Oh god. I'd buy all of them at full price on launch day...)

I forgot about the Makers in Victory II so I added them.

Need more Zankantou and manly scream from Sanger on PC

This, for some reason needs to be stickied here, since I never would of thought about this stuff, and probably would of been dumb to ask one or two questions of who is really what here now. Especially with CC2 of course. :p
Kronenscheldt Feb 25, 2015 @ 11:35pm
also Arfiore is the goddess of piracy, as noted by her name(R4 cart) and her ability to literally steal other peoples forms.

I liked her role better in the original game.

Anyway, I thought about adding her because goddess status, but then I thought that people might ask me what the other villians represent and those aren't cut and dry like Arfoire = Piracy so I didn't add her.

I'll probably add her later.
Ammy Feb 26, 2015 @ 2:28am
Yeah, your right. Most of the villans arn't cut and dry in meaning.

As for R4 I think I read somewhere her JP name is actually slightly differant in that she is directly named after something that copies games. Magicopy I think it was called.

I have a question in Megadimension Neptunia VII if Neptune is Sega then what is her NEXT form based on?

Blanc has this white hat in her Next Form that looks suspiciously like the one Mario wears :)
Vert has the green X that shows up in a lot of her moves.

C-Sha, those wings aren't Morrigan from Darkstalkers, really.
S-Sha, the Sephiroth look.
B-Sha, totally not a Gundam.
K-Sha, I assume is a Metal Gear reference.
