Herobo....

is there any good tips on fighting this annoying thing, most of my character are lv 30+, and right now im in chapter 4

EXE Drives (particulary Vert's) are your best friends

umm..chapter 4...do you have Noire back yet? all i do is grind EX guage to full, buff Noires str and go to town with her EX ability - dealing about 60k per use. I think Iffy is pretty good with her apocalypse flare too (or whatever its called...i get confused with all the ability names). If you have the EX guage booster plan active you can maintain a solid guage level if one of your characters like Blanc/vert spam their big multi hit combo moves constantly.

I use Vert + Peachy (I believe that's her name) and Compa. Vert's exe is OP, Peachy is great at getting exe with spamming her rush ability and Compa is amazing at healing and debuffing :D. This combo got me to the end basically.

im just started chapter 4, and is there any tips about what character should i put, plans(how do i get them guide would be good, also the material and how do i get the material), equipment and other stuff (still newbie here anyway)

for most of the monster drop items (not sure if it's complete). If you cant ctrl+f 'insert item name here' can't find anything it's likely a world drop and i can't really help you there.

go to Lowee Snowfield once you get the Item Change plan done for it and search for a hidden plan called EXP up. Invaluable plan that can be crafted once you get to factory 4 (i forget when...maybe next chapter)

MS Mountain 2nd part has a hidden plan too for increased cash im still farming. MS mountain is pretty great for a lot of stuff though

Do you have to break herobo's guard before performing those EXE moves?

I see.
i tried fighting herobo in chapter 3. i think my party was around level 30 or so.
performing one EXE skill only took out maybe 1/4th of it's health. still wouldn't be enough if i used up all 3.

(before fighting the herobo cap the guage) exploit multihit combo characters like vert/blanc to get and keep up the EX guage during battle. The EX Booster plan helps too significantly. STR buff helps too. Just keep using the EX skill and keep the guage filled as much as possible and its just a matter of rinse and repeat.

So it's not just an easy kill even with EXE skills.
i'll be sure to put some more thought in to it. and maybe get to level 40 before attempting him again. lol
